If you cannot find what you are looking for please call us on +44 (0)1733 269026 or email your question to us.

Do you stock and sell standard sized flight cases?

Generally no, all our professional flight cases are designed free-of-charge and custom built to suit your specific needs - whether you need a nippy, ultra-light flight case for DJ equipment or an oversized flight case to transport Airbus A380 turbine blades. .

What information do you require to quote for a custom made flight case?

As much information as you have!

The width, depth and height of the item you want flight cased along with any other information or sketches you may think of use, such as weight.

Other useful information is how it will be transported, is it something you would like to drag through airports or will it travel as cargo.

We will always contact you to discuss the design if we require any further details.

Is it very expensive to have a bespoke flight case made to my particular specifications?

Very much depends on what you call expensive and the flight case specification. We do not charge for developing and designing a flight case, just for labour and material used.

Expensive? If you play in a local band and use the case for a journey in the car once every couple of weeks, then yes, there are cheaper flight cases manufactured in China available from other flight case companies that would be better value for you - If nothing else 3D Cases are always honest with you.

If, on the other hand, you want a professional quality flight case built from high quality materials, manufactured to withstand the rigours of continuous touring by road, sea, rail and air – perhaps even camel back - then a 3D flight case, without question, represents the best value for money.

3D Flight Cases have an earned a reputation for supplying the most technically advanced professional flight cases and portable 19" rack cases available and some of our 30 year old flight cases are still touring the globe today. Now that’s an investment!

What is the time scale to produce a custom made flight case?

The majority of flight case orders are despatched within two weeks.

If you need a flight case urgently, let us know and we will do our very best to meet your deadline.

What Finish Do You Use And Are Your Flight Cases Available In Colours?

Most 3D flight cases are constructed using 6mm, 9mm or 12mm high quality Birch plywood from sustainably managed forests. To this we add a wide variety of laminates.

Flight Case Laminates and Colours

The easiest way to explain the available laminates is to ask you to visit out flight case colours page. Here you will find information on our most popular finishes along with one of the largest selection of colours offered by any flight case company.

Non Plywood construction.

Aluminium Honeycomb: Panels are made of a high-performance aluminium honeycomb core; heat bonded each side in an autoclave with either an aluminium or composite material (expensive but incredibly light and strong - think aircraft flooring, wings, f1 cars etc.). Available in a range of colours.

Flight Panel: Light weight polypropylene honeycomb board. OK for smaller cases. Available in a limited range of colours.

Can I purchase your flight cases as an individual?

Yes, with pleasure.

Whilst many artists, orchestras and companies – small and large - buy our flight cases, we also supply individual customers, like you.

We’re pleased to say 3D Flight Cases is big enough to deliver but smaller enough to care.

Do you only sell flight cases to UK Customers?

Not at all – 3D’s flight cases and 19 inch rack cases are in demand and purchased from all over the world, from Alaska to Zambia, from Alice Cooper to Zeppelin. In fact, export shipments are pretty much a daily event.

Just let us know your requirements and we can deliver a tailor-made professional flight case to wherever you are in the world.

Do you ship your flight cases Internationally?

Yes, world wide

We have shipped our flight cases to every industrialised continent, countries from Iceland to New Zealand. We can organise through our worldwide freight agent Connaught Air Services Ltd to ship by land, sea or air. They are experts at shipping, customs clearance, import export, transport, international forwarding, eCommerce support and have proved to competitively priced, extremely helpful and efficient over the years they have been shipping our flight cases.
Obviously, if you prefer you can of course arrange your own shipping company to collect.

What About Paying For My Flight Case?

Thanks for asking!

For a one off flight case we normally prefer to be paid with order, which can be settled by cheque, bank transfer or by credit or debit card (please call with details). Alternatively we can send you a 'PayPal Payment Request' email allowing you to pay online using any credit/debit card (you do not need a PayPal account). The old cash method also works.

Subject to approval for larger flight case orders and regular customers we offer 30 day accounts. Please request a 3D Flight Case account application form if you wish to apply.
